# Portals: AI creative workspace for makers

> Portals combines brainstorming, vector design, and AI app generation in one workspace. The Portal Agent executes creative workflows so you don't have to.

Portals is an AI-powered creative desktop workspace that brings together everything you need to move from a raw idea to a working prototype — without switching between tools. Instead of juggling Miro, Figma, and ChatGPT separately, you get an infinite canvas, a vector editor, and an AI app generator in a single app, all connected by an embedded AI agent that can actually execute work on your behalf.

## Who Portals is for

Portals is built for people who need to move fast across the full creative process:

Portals is organized around three modes. You switch between them using the mode selector at the top of the app.

## The Portal Agent

At the heart of Portals is the **Portal Agent** — an embedded AI with 40+ canvas tools. Unlike AI assistants that only suggest, the Portal Agent takes action: it creates cards, draws shapes, searches the web with citations, adds images directly to your canvas, generates interactive mini-apps (applets), and handles multi-step creative workflows from a single prompt.
